Public Work Contracts
Tarasis Electric has been active in public works contracting for a number of years, providing cost competitive pricing for a number of public agencies. In recent years we have specialized in public school projects completing over fifty such projects and are in the SCA pre-qualified list of electrical contractors for technical projects. We have specialized in science laboratories, computer laboratories, TV Studios. The following are just a few of many projects that we have worked on in the past.

Provided the electrical and communications work required for the NYC Transportable Classroom program from its inception in 1996. Each project requires power service to the TCU, a master coded fire alarm system, connection to the main school’s public announcement, telephone or intercom system. These projects typically require completion between four to six weeks.

Tarasis Electric has completed over one hundred audio visual commercial contracts in the past ten years, as the exclusive installer for Ace Audio Visual Inc., NYC’s largest AV systems integrator. Our installation expertise and customer satisfaction is well established in the industry and we have expanded this business to include TV studios, CATV and communications systems.

Historical Renovations
• Saint Joseph Church, Queens, NY, Completed 1998
Tarasis Electric has performed a number of historical renovations as in the case of Saint Joseph’s Church in Astoria Queens. There was major renovation work to the interior and exterior of the church with custom lighting fixtures and dimming system to showcase the space. We also provided the power, the sound system and fire alarm system for the church and the adjoining buildings. The project was awarded the New York State AIA “Award for Merit in Design”.

We have undertaken the electrical construction and subsequence maintenance of approximately twenty restaurants in the past five years. The restaurants involve all aspects of electrical work including lighting, dimming systems, power distribution, fire alarm, communication systems and miscellaneous control wiring.
