Tarasis Electric is a NYC licensed electrical contractor in business since 1979 and we have mainly worked on commercial and institutional projects. We are affiliated with the electrical union Local 3, and have two Master Electrical license’s assigned to the firm. Our electricians are the finest craftsman in the industry and have worked an average of six years for our firm. We comply with all appropriate insurance requirements. Our work is inspected by the NYC Department of Buildings and the NYC Fire Department and certifications are provided to the owners.

Gus Tsahas, President, joined the firm in 1991 where his responsibilities included administration, engineering and financial services.

Nick Melissinos, Vice President, joined the firm in 1980 where he started as an apprentice and gradually promoted to journeymen electrician. In 1987, his responsibilities increased to project management, material procurement, and superintendent.

Joe Schettino, Electrical Foreman, joined our firm in 1993. During his employment with Tarasis Electric, Joe started as a journeyman and was later promoted to Foreman. He has extensive knowledge and experience with electrical construction projects that involves various auditorium upgrades, science laboratories, computer rooms, switchgear replacement, fire alarms and sound/clock systems.
